Objective

Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) is an honor society for financial information students and practicing professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance, and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service and the association of members with practicing professionals; and to encourage a sense of ethical, social and civic responsibility.

Activities

The Gamma Kappa Chapter of BAP meets on Friday nights at 6:00 p.m.

Some of the activities we actively participate in include:

• Community Service Opportunities – BAP participates in events offering members the opportunity to give back to their communities. Past events included Habitat for Humanity and Very Special People (VSP).
• Provide Leadership Opportunities – We have many opportunities to get involved. Our members gain leadership skills through officer positions and committees.
• Resume Review – The spring semesters are highlighted with our “Resume Review”.
• Networking With Members of the Business Community - Meeting frequently with businesses from the surrounding area gives members an opportunity to network with practicing professionals.
